About Tim Hultz

"Tackled a thorn bush.
High-fived a cloud.
Bit Rudolph.
Destroyed a house(on purpose).
Baked a three tier cake.
And that was just a weekend."

During the week...User Experience Design. With user experience being such a broad subject, Tim has taken the lead on various user centered design projects. These roles consist of user research, workflow analysis, information architecture, interaction design, wireframing & storyboarding, visual design, prototyping, user testing, and final delivery of implemented design solution. Being a part of the full process has allowed him to really pinpoint insights that turn into concepts and later are refined into feasible solutions.
Tim’s experience as both an independent and collaborating designer falls under many development processes. However, pushing an idea or brand to continuous improvement and to embrace change is often hyped up but then forgotten. Tim does not forget this and makes sure it is in communication during the whole process. Working closely with cross functioning teams, Tim is fully capable of managing several projects with prompt delivery.
Over the years, Tim’s work has been recognized by many professional organizations and featured on reputable online showcases. These works consist of creating an entirely new product, designing new versions of an existing product, proof of concepts, web applications, mobile applications, physical products, and of course hackathons.
Tim strives for projects where the demand flawless use cases are just as important as every other aspect of the project.

A little more about me...

  • Photography

Photography is a great hobby and a common one among creative people. I enjoy it for the technical aspect such as lighting but also the creativity for when the right moment is composed and quickly captured.
Check out some of my favorite photos I've been able to capture.

  • Learning

The great thing about working in the user experience field is that you are always learning something new. I love how one moment you are learning about a medical device and the next moment you are learning about trading strategies so you can provide the best experience.

  • Hobbies

I am a hands on kind of person. From a young age I would take things apart and put it back together. That ties in with a lot of my design process but find myself doing this outside of work whether it be working on Jeeps, friend's needing an extra hand with home repairs, science experiments with the young ones.

  • Beyond a Screen

I really enjoy my time away from the screen and challenge myself with other activities such as rock climbing, archery, fishing, sailing... as you can tell, outdoors activities are something I won't pass up on any free time I may have. Beyond the outdoors board/card games and cooking are new brain teasers I am taking on.

I'd love to hear from you.
